Org was established in 2001 by Novita Williamson and Wai-Yii Yeung as Leeds' first organic retailer and caterer. Since then we have won a string of awards. Organic principles go right through the business. We recycle our waste, we source from local suppliers where possible. We use eco cleaning products and bio degradable bin bags for our landfill rubbish. Our salad boxes and cutlery are sustainably sourced and biodegradable, and we compost our kitchen waste. Did you know coffee grinds are great for deterring slugs? We re-use plastic carrier bags, so dig out the stash under your kitchen sink and bring them to ORG. Or remember to bring your shopping bags, our recycled plastic carrier bags cost 5p each. We collect empty veg boxes back from you to re-use another time, and because our van runs on petrol, we work with local group, Treesponsibilty, who are planting trees in the Calder Valley region to offset our annual CO2 emissions. We believe that it's the little things that make the big difference, and we hope to show that it is not difficult to run a sustainable and ethical business.
